Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

It doesn’t matter how old you are – everyone loves a superhero. This year, we’re spoilt for choice at the cinema and if you’re anything like us, you’ll be dashing out to watch them all. Your children will turn into caped crusaders and if you’re honest, you’ll want to join in the fun too. Look below to find a few of our favourite superhero face paint designs and some themed party ideas to keep everyone amused.
FACE PAINT IDEAS

    Powerkid

  1. Base
    Base Use royal blue to draw a mask shape like the picture. Then draw a red triangle in the middle of the forehead with the tip pointing at the nose.
  2. Detail
    Detail Using a thin brush, outline the red triangle in black.
  3. Finish
    Finish Use white paint to draw a star in the middle of the red triangle and smaller stars on the cheeks. Draw a series of small dots above the eyebrow line.

    Captain 5

  1. Base
    Base Mix royal blue and white paint to draw a mask that covers the whole forehead and part of the nose and cheeks.
  2. Detail
    Detail Using white, draw a number '5' on the forehead. Then with black paint, draw six small dots in the shape of a triangle on each cheek.
  3. Finish
    Finish With a thin brush, outline the mask and the number '5' in black.

    Arachnido

  1. Base
    Base Mix dark green and white. Paint half the face from the forehead to the middle of the nose. Add flicks at the bottom, on each cheek.
  2. Detail
    Detail Use white paint to draw a teardrop around each eye. The tip of the teardrop should reach the middle of the forehead.
  3. Finish
    Finish With a thin brush and black paint, draw a small web in a series of lines in the middle of the forehead.

MAKE A CAPE

  1. Grab Some Felt
    Grab Some Felt Find a large coloured piece of felt and two smaller coloured pieces.
  2. Shape Your Cape
    Shape Your Cape Cut the large piece into a rectangle with a curved end and neck-hole. Cut shapes from the other felt pieces.
  3. Decorate!
    Decorate! Glue your pieces onto your cape and your superkid is ready!
